Cat Care in Milwaukee
Behavior-informed, confidence-building care for cats of every age, temperament, and medical need.
Cats aren’t small dogs — and their care shouldn’t be treated like it.
With decades of feline experience, a home full of cats of her own, and deep ties to Milwaukee’s rescue community, Lori and the Off Leash MKE team bring a level of cat understanding, emotional awareness, and species-appropriate handling that is rare in the pet-care world.
Whether your cat is shy, social, senior, spicy, sensitive, or medically complex, we approach every visit with patience, respect, and genuine feline fluency.
Why Our Cat Care Is Different
Behavior-Literate, Cat-First Approach
Led by a lifelong cat guardian with 7 cats at home, extensive experience in TNR, fostering, and behavior work through Urban Cat Coalition, and training through Jackson Galaxy’s Cat Positive program, our cat care is rooted in understanding how cats think, feel, and communicate.
Species-Appropriate Handling

The cost of professional cat sitting depends on factors such as the length of each visit, the number of cats in your home, medication needs, and the level of care required. At Off Leash MKE, we offer personalized in-home cat sitting designed to keep your cat comfortable in their familiar environment while you're away. Our visits include fresh food and water, litter box maintenance, enrichment, companionship, medication administration when needed, and detailed updates after every visit.
-
While a friend or neighbor may be able to stop by to refill food and water, a professional cat sitter provides consistent, reliable care and is trained to recognize changes in your cat's behavior, appetite, litter box habits, and overall health. We also provide detailed visit reports, administer medications when needed, maintain your cat's routine, and give you peace of mind knowing your pet is in experienced hands while you're away.
-
For many cats, staying in the comfort of their own home is the least stressful option. In-home cat sitting allows your cat to remain in their familiar environment, maintain their normal routine, and avoid the stress of traveling or being surrounded by unfamiliar animals. Professional cat sitting also allows us to monitor your cat's health, provide personalized attention, keep litter boxes clean, and ensure your home remains secure while you're away.
-
While every cat has a unique personality, many cats benefit from regular interaction while their families are away. Daily visits provide more than just food and fresh water—they offer companionship, play, enrichment, and an opportunity for us to monitor your cat's health and behavior. Whether your cat enjoys chasing toys, receiving chin scratches, or simply having a familiar routine maintained, professional cat sitting helps reduce stress and keeps them comfortable until you return home.
-
We proudly provide professional cat sitting throughout Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, Whitefish Bay, Shorewood, Fox Point, River Hills, Glendale, Mequon, Bay View, Cedarburg, and surrounding communities.
